Money experts claim that to let go of our beliefs and turn things around, we simply have to rewire our “money mind.” Take this training, read this book, and start to get everything you want in life! In some cases, the simple process of being more aware of our thoughts and actions can help us let go of the patterns we’ve established.
Yet in most cases, this is not so easy. Most of us have had painful experiences when we attempt to change our deeply rooted patterns and beliefs. Just think about people quitting smoking, gambling, alcohol or drugs. For some, this can be a repeated struggle of deciding to quit and not having the discipline or strength to follow through because of emotional distress or physiological addiction. The old joke comes to mind about a smoker who says, “I can quit smoking anytime I want. Why, I’ve already quit three times this week.”
A multitude of levels of deeply rooted mental patterns are associated with these behaviors that stem from experiences in life caused by episodes of great fear or pain. Trying to make changes evokes strong emotional and physical reactions that most people are not able to deal with by themselves. They require therapy or support to change. We all have a great level of resistance to change. The world beyond our habits, beliefs and established patterns is unknown and can be uncomfortable and even perceived as dangerous. Therefore, we try to avoid change.
Tapping into our Physical Intelligence allows us to access the root of our mental, emotional and physical patterns that govern our thinking, beliefs, habits and even addictions. Gaining access to these non-cognitive levels of the mind and brining about change at this level is the most effective way to change deeply rooted patterns.
